OUR STORY

Built by young people, for healthier communities.

Brush Bridge officially launched in 2026 with a simple observation: too many families lack access to preventive oral care and clear, kid-friendly education about it. We're a youth-led initiative building partnerships, recruiting volunteers, collecting supplies, and expanding our community outreach across Rhode Island.

Why oral health

Oral health shapes confidence, nutrition, and long-term wellbeing. Small habits, started early, can make a lasting difference.

Our approach

We plan to meet people where they are—in schools, libraries, shelters, and community centers—with practical resources.

Youth leadership

Our programs are being developed by youth volunteers with guidance and support from dental professionals and community partners.

I’m a Rhode Island high school student who started Brush Bridge after recognizing that many children and families do not have equal access to oral-health education, preventive resources, or the supplies needed to maintain healthy habits.

My interest in dentistry and community service inspired me to create an initiative that makes oral health understandable, engaging, and accessible. Through interactive workshops, oral-hygiene kit distributions, volunteer involvement, and partnerships with dental professionals and community organizations, Brush Bridge connects young people with practical knowledge and trusted support.

I hope Brush Bridge will help children develop healthy habits early, reduce barriers to preventive dental care, and bring students, healthcare professionals, and community partners together around a shared purpose. In the future, I hope to expand our educational programs and create a model that can serve communities beyond Rhode Island.

“Small acts of care create brighter smiles and stronger communities.”
